Job Profile
This position is the primary financial leadership and support for the Our Client’s International Global Design Center (GDC) located in Chennai, India.
The essential functions of the position are to:
1. Manage accounting, financial planning, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the GDC.
2. Ensure that accounting is in full compliance with GAAP, Our Client’s corporate accounting policies, U.S. statutory and regulatory requirements, and all local and national laws and regulations in place in India.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
· Manage monthly accounting close process.
· Lead the development of the annual budget for the GDC.
· Manage monthly variance analysis and reporting.
· Manage and deliver monthly spending forecasts.
· Meet corporate accounting and finance deadlines and guidelines regarding month, quarter, and year end close, and annual budgeting.
· Monitor and report on the key financial performance and productivity indicators for the GDC
· Remain current with emerging accounting requirements in order to maintain required skill levels.
· Manage accounting for and maintain fixed assets registers
· Establish, manage, and follow strong internal financial controls and processes.
· Provide guidance, advice, counsel, and financial leadership to the GDC management team, with a focus on improvement opportunities to that drive improved financial performance.
· Provide guidance, advice, counsel, and financial leadership to the Engineering and IT management team (in the U.S.), with a focus on improvement opportunities to that drive improved financial performance.
· Provide ad-hoc support and data analysis as required.
· Additional responsibilities as defined by the General Manager, GDC or the Director, Finance – IT & Engineering.

· Extensive experience modeling complex financial analyses
· Exceptional analytical skills
· Excellent interpersonal, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
· Excellent presentation and communication skills; must be able to effectively present to and interact with senior managers
· In-depth knowledge of methods for financial forecasting & planning
· In-depth knowledge of building budgets and plans supporting an Engineering and IT organization
· Strong managerial and coaching skills
· Ability to mentor and develop staff
Preferred (but not required):
· Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant, or substantially similar international designation.
· Qualified Company Secretary
· Prior experience with SAP financial systems
